Hello RMP Friends!

What a whirlwind April 2025 has already been and we’re only 10 days in 😲
If you have been watching the news the last week and a half, you’re probably in one of two camps- either you could not care less because the world seemingly has been in a tailspin since you can remember (who are my fellow millennials?!) or you are super panicked and anx’d out right now. My REAL Broker President, Sharran Srivatsaa, just had a fabulous post about this that I’ll share here (now let’s caveat this by saying, he put this out less than a week ago and so much has happened even since!)

My advice would be NOT to panic, control what you can control and let the rest of it work itself out. I was talking to a client earlier today who said something I totally agree with. We (the USA) will either end up smelling like roses and in a much better position than we have been, or not. There are really only two options at this point and neither of them are in our everyday control. So do your meditations, align your chakras & breathe calmly.

One thing that has been proposed this week is the elimination of income & property taxes- I don’t know about you, but that would be sweeeeet! Especially with our state proposing an increase in property taxes up to 3%! Only time will tell, but one thing I know for sure is, taxes are due in 5 days ~ next Tuesday, April 15th, so make sure you’ve filed and get the gov paid (if you owe them anything)
Also, don’t forget that if you don’t have a loan, or mortgage that pays for your property taxes out of an escrow account), your first half is due at the end of this month!

Now onto stats~ Not a lot of difference as far as the numbers go, but I will tell you from the way the market “feels” right now is BUSY! Lots of new buyers coming out with their preapprovals, lots of sellers hopping off the fence and realizing even their 3% rates can’t make the house they currently live in work for them. It’s been super nice to feel busy.

The last thing I’ll say is my repeater- a HUGE shoutout to all my people who have referred me business so far this year! I’ve had 10 closings so far and every single one of them have either been repeat clients or referrals from my sphere 💗
