RMP vol. 4.5

The *in-between* Craziness of August/September

Hey, Hey RMP Friends!

First, I have to apologize to all my mid-to-end-of-August clients with HouseAversaries ~ I *still* have not gotten you your Annual Real Estate Review and we’re almost 1/3 of the way through September!! The second half of my August was FULL of craziness, in the best way 😉 I promise I’ll get those out to you all this week!
We took a road trip down to Carlton, OR - if you don’t know where that’s at, think about an hour South-ish of Portland/an hour East of the coast. We spent four days with family, drinking wine, playing games and school shopping (hello no sales tax in Oregon!) Then immediately after we returned home, my Mother-in-Law came up to visit for 8 days, which was actually a fabulous visit, since we haven’t seen her in almost 5 years. The day she left, we had TWO open houses for two of my boys heading back to school, then that weekend was Labor Day! We spent one of the days at my mom’s house with tons of family for our annual Family Reunion filled with loads of food, drinks and of course- hardcore volleyball games LOL, then we hit the lake up for a day in the sunshine and 95+ degree heat before spending actual LABOR day at home, resting and getting ready for the boys to head back to school that started the next day!
This year, I’m truly the Mom-Bus, with all three boys heading to three different schools, my drop offs and pickups are a big chunk of time during the school week. Thankfully we have a little carpool option with one of our sweet neighbors to help some of the days and the true angel in my life, my mom, helps whenever she can too. So… if you need me during the hours of 7a-9a or 2:30-3:30p, I’ll be a phone call away, but all those hooligans will be in the backseat hollering 🙂

Secondly, the fall is shaping up to be a steady season in Real Estate. I am still seeing much more inventory and slower sales than in the past few years, but just this last week I was involved in a multiple offer situation with one of my buyer’s. This was AFTER the house was already on the market for well over a month.
This is not an isolated incident, in my experience, as soon as you are looking at a house, all the other buyers will be coming out of the woodwork too! If you like something, don’t assume no one else is looking~ they may just be waiting in the wings. I will caveat this story with the fact that while the house was sitting on the market with no action for over a month, they just had done a substantial price drop, which was the likely cause of activity.

And finally, (I’ll keep this newsletter short and sweet), do you know that I have tons of business partners that I can and do refer out to clients on a weekly basis! If you are in need of something- plumber, electrician, estate planning attorney, etc., just holler ~ I have people and with that being said, if YOU have someone that has been an absolute win for you, please send their names to me so I can vet them and add their contact details into my list to share with others too~ remember sharing is caring ❤️

»»»»» Stats will be coming out this following week, so I’ll be sharing those with you the next time around!

Until next time, all my love~

~Robyn
