Hello December! RMP vol.7
Tricks & Tips for the colder weather + Client Event Planning
Hey RMP Friends!
It’s the last month of 2024! I simply cannot believe how quickly this year flew by me. When I was little I thought life was moving soooo slow, but the older I get, the faster the days and weeks and months go by.
This volume will be filled with some advice AND some fun stuff, I wanted to get you the goods as we begin the new month.
It’s starting to get colder outside (and inside!), if you haven’t prepared your home for winter- I say JUMP ON IT NOW. What does this mean for you?
My best pieces of advice include;
1. Having your furnace inspected, cleaned and serviced by a licensed and bonded HVAC company. (If you don’t have one- I do! Holler back and I’ll send you my referral)
This helps make sure things are operating at optimal levels and it also shows that you are staying on top of what some buyers call “deferred maintenance” items. Also please make sure you are changing your filters; this will keep the air quality at the best levels possible.
2. If you have a fireplace, gas or wood, you can either have your gas FP serviced at the same time as your HVAC or if you enjoy burning real wood, contact a chimney sweeper to come do a quick cleaning and checkup. We have a real woodburning FP, which I absolutely LOVEEEE, so we always make sure it’s running at full capacity.
3. Make sure all of your hose bibs are detached from hoses (put those things away for the winter) and covered to provide extra protection. You can find hose bib covers at any big box store and they are very affordable. Click here for the link to HD» Everbilt Standard Outdoor Faucet Cover 1980 - The Home Depot ps, you should have already had your sprinkler system blown out, but if you haven’t… do that ASAP!
4. Be prepared for winter storms and possible loss of power- have extra water on hand, flashlights, batteries, non-toxic candles, matches, easy to make “pantry” food, firewood, blankets, extra pet food & maybe a deck of cards too!

Let’s switch gears to more Real Estate buying and selling related info. I already have 5 sellers in my sphere who will be selling and buying come springtime next year. I tell you this, because if you are even thinking about selling (or buying) early next year, now is the time to get together and formulate a game plan! I’ve gotten outside pictures done on some of these homes to really showcase their amazing landscaping in the best light- especially if we end up listing before the snow goes away for another year. Our timeline is shrinking for that option (depending on when the snow shows up) so let’s get going now!
Call/text/email anytime if you are in the beginning stages of planning.
It’s MUCH easier to start earlier than you think you need too, than to be on the downhill slope and feeling frazzled and rushed when it’s the 11th hour.
Last, but definitely not least- something super FUNNN!
I want to do a client event in December so I need to find out how many of you lovely people would want to join. If you follow me on social media at all, you know I joined Orange Theory Fitness back in May and it has really made a huge impact on me and my health. It has been an investment in myself, but I already feel it paying dividends and truly believe anyone who tries it, will get hooked! If you’ve been wanting to jump into something new, but don’t want to do it alone, let’s do it together!! And the best part is starting it before the New Year when everyone else starts their own fitness journey.
I’ve started the conversation with OT Northside to hold a “try-on class” this month and they are totally in as long as I can get at least 15 people to commit, but they have space for up to 36!
It would be either on a Friday evening starting ~ 5:30p or a Saturday-day around 10:45a.
These are one-hour classes, focused on HIIT- high intensity interval training with work on the treadmill, a water rower (not actually in water 😉) and the weights floor.
Everyone is welcome and ANYONE can do this workout. You choose your own intensity. There are people in OT that are younger, older, men, women, gym rats, people just starting out, coming back from injury, pregnant ladies and everyone else in-between. Now they will likely give you all the details about how memberships work; price breakdowns, class schedules, etc. but I in no way want you to feel like you have to sign up after the class unless it really HIITS you in the right spot (see what I did there 😂😂😂)
Since I know December fills up very quickly, I am putting this out there now and the dates will be either the 20th or 21st. Please let me know if you’re IN! And which of the class dates work best for you.
Almost 52k calories burnt this year! 💪
That’s all for now my friends ~ stay warm out there, let me know if you need anything and I’ll be in touch again soon!
